It is a matter of privilege to welcome you all to the Khalsa College of Law which is fast establishing itself as an institution of acadmic legal excellence, practical knowledge and co-curricular achievements. It is a matter of great pride that the foundation stone of the new building of Khalsa College of Law was laid by the then Hon'ble Chief Justice of India, Mr. Justice Atlamas Kabir in the benign presence of legal luminaries like Hon'ble Justice D.K. Jain, Learned Judge of the Supreme Court of India, Hon'ble Justice A.K. Sikri, Chief Justice of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, Hon'ble Justice Jasbir Singh and Hon'ble Justice S.S. Saron of the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
It deems a blessing of Almighty to serve Khalsa College of Law as its first regular Principal. It has been a rare honour and pride for me. My job has been immensely challenging and of great responsibility to bring the College on the map of prestigious Law Colleges in India. I owe my gratitude to all the faculty members for their unconditional support and co-operation.
As we embark into the seventh year of the establishment of the College, our commitment at the College is to provide a safe and intellectually challenging environment that will empower students to become innovative thinkers, creative problem solvers and inspired learners to face the challenges of highly competitive world and new century.With the proud educational legacy of Khalsa College Charitable Society and the profound vision of our President S. Satyajit Singh Ji Majithia and Honorary Secretary S. Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina Ji, the College has become an Institution of all round development. The academic excellence is evident in students securing top positions in the Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar merit lists.
The College aim at multi-dimensional growth of the students and providing holistic environment not only strong theoretical knowledge but equal importance is given to practical training and knowledge. The students regularly participate in national and international Moot Court Competitions, presenting research papers at national and international seminars in India and abroad.
Co-curricular and extra-curricular activities not only facilitate the process of creative and critical thinking, but also inculcate social and moral values, compassion for nature, pride for our Punjabi Culture and tradition and above all they make students good human beings and confident leaders. That’s why the College has Cultural and Youth Welfare Department. Students have brought laurels to the College in Co-Curricular and Youth Welfare Activities.
It was a proud moment for our College when it won the Second Runners-up Trophy in the Zonal Youth Festival. Not only that, students of our College qualified and won prizes in Inter Zonal Youth Festivals of Guru Nanak Dev University. With all these out-standing features and the proud legacy bestowed on us, Khalsa College of Law, Amritsar will go on producing legal luminaries who uphold the imperatives of Democracy, Human Rights and the Rule of Law.
